Tropical Skin Saver

My Clarisonic Experience

After my skin began breaking out, for the first time in my life this past December, I was frantic. On top of it all I had an extended vacation coming up and the last thing I wanted to worry about was my skin. I stumbled across a review of the Clarisonic Mia 2, touted as “amazing,” “life-changing,” and “brilliant” among others, was this to be my salvation? I was skeptical. This $120 (and up) gadget claimed to have “sonic frequency of more than 300 movements per second to gently, yet thoroughly remove makeup six times better than cleansing with your hands alone.” Wait What?! So I took a leap of faith.

My skin tends on the sensitive side so I shelled out the extra cash for the cashmere brush head. What followed were a few days of trial and error. In my excitement I attempted to use the device twice a day as instructed and soon realized my skin was less excited about it. So I cut back to three times a week, or on the days where I felt most unclean. It didn’t take long to see results. In a week or two my minor breakouts were gone, without a trace. My skin felt tighter, glowier and my moisturizer actually felt as if it was moisturizing. All of this in one of the most humid climates, Bali during the wet season. And if you’re still unsure maybe it’s time you gave it a try, your skin will thank you!
